Case Study: Analog Devices achieves automated threat response and reduced reimaging costs with Malwarebytes Incident Response

Malwarebytes Incident Response improves remediation and reporting

Analog Devices (ADI), a Fortune 100 leader in high-performance analog and DSP integrated circuits with more than 20,000 employees, needed to protect valuable intellectual property and mission‑critical manufacturing systems (including legacy Windows XP devices) without adding persistent client software or disrupting production. Despite a layered security stack—SCEP, DLP, IPS, SIEM and threat hunting—some threats evaded detection, driving costly reimaging (~$1,000 per system) and leaving limited visibility into infection causes.

ADI implemented Malwarebytes Incident Response, using the agentless Breach Remediation tool integrated with Microsoft System Center, SecureWorks, Splunk and the Footprints ticketing system to deploy on‑demand, clean infections, collect logs and then remove itself. The automated workflow reduced unnecessary reimages, improved reporting and threat visibility (including IOC sharing into the SIEM), and remediated threats that Microsoft SCEP had missed, boosting security ROI.
