Federation Council increases cyberthreat protection and management simplicity

The Federation Council of New South Wales, which supports services across a large rural region with multiple offices, libraries and utility sites, needed stronger endpoint protection than its existing Trend Micro solution. IT sought a more effective, centrally managed defense against advanced malware, PUPs and ransomware for widely distributed and bandwidth-constrained remote systems.

The council deployed cloud-managed Malwarebytes Endpoint Protection, completing most of the rollout in a day. Malwarebytes immediately detected and removed about 30,000 instances of malware, junkware and unexecuted ransomware that the previous product missed, simplified remote endpoint management, reclaimed bandwidth by stopping adware and C2 traffic, blocked cryptojacking sites, and improved system performance and IT efficiency.
