A Malwarebytes Case Study
Catherine McAuley College is a Catholic school in Bendigo, Australia, serving 1,400 students across two campuses with a 1:1 computer program. As malware, cryptolockers and ransomware grew—especially on devices used off campus—the College found Windows Defender alone insufficient and lacked visibility into endpoint infections, prompting the need for stronger, centralized protection.
The College deployed Malwarebytes Endpoint Protection across both campuses under a site license, using its cloud console to monitor and remediate endpoints wherever they are. The solution detected and blocked bitcoin miners, adware, proxy hijackers and malicious URLs, helped harden firewall rules, ran with a small system footprint, and gave the ICT team 24/7 visibility and confidence in their endpoint defense.
