MAPFRE boosts time-to-market 30% with Making Science

MAPFRE, a global insurance company and the leading insurer in Spain, faced the challenge of modernizing its legacy IT infrastructure to boost agility, accelerate time-to-market for new services, and diversify its product portfolio. To meet evolving customer expectations and heightened competition, MAPFRE partnered with vendor Making Science to create the SDM Platform, a new software development architecture based on MACH principles.

Making Science implemented a solution using MACH architecture, which included microservices, an API-first approach, cloud-native deployment, and a headless structure. This approach, backed by DevOps methodologies, allowed MAPFRE to swiftly launch three new digital products: the Savia health platform, MultiMap home repair service, and Club MAPFRE loyalty program. The results included a 30% increase in time-to-market, over 5 million unique users served on the new platforms, and a foundation for continuous innovation and reduced IT costs.
