Pensa Accelerates Product Innovation With Makerbot Method

Pensa, a New York City–based industrial design and invention consulting firm, needed a more reliable and cost-effective way to prototype: desktop 3D printers were unreliable and industrial machines were costly, required dedicated technicians, and added long cleanup times. To solve this, Pensa integrated the MakerBot METHOD 3D Printer into its daily design and development workflow.

MakerBot’s METHOD delivered an industrial-grade, desktop-accessible solution (featuring a heated chamber, precision PVA supports, and dry-sealed material bays) that improved dimensional accuracy and reliability. As a result, Pensa accelerated design iteration cycles, began testing earlier for form, fit and function, reduced production time and costs, and cut reliance on expensive external industrial printers—achieving repeatable parts and faster decision-making.
