A MakerBot Case Study
Canadian Academy, an international school in Kobe, Japan, wanted to inspire creativity and build essential future-ready skills such as design thinking, engineering, and problem solving across grade levels. To support this goal, the school partnered with MakerBot and introduced the UltiMaker 3D printing ecosystem, including S series and Sketch series 3D printers.
MakerBot helped Canadian Academy integrate 3D printing into makerspace, classroom projects, and senior work through training, lesson plans, curriculum resources, and certification programs for teachers. The result was a more hands-on, creative learning environment that encouraged collaboration, critical thinking, and innovation, while giving students practical experience with design, slicing, materials, and basic printer maintenance.
