A Maintenance Connection Case Study
Northern Water, established in 1937, manages major water infrastructure serving more than 1 million people, but needed a better way to organize records, support FEMA reimbursement, meet reporting requirements, and handle its complex multi-participant cost structure. The utility turned to Maintenance Connection to replace siloed information and improve maintenance management across pipelines, reservoirs, dams, and other critical assets.
With Maintenance Connection, Northern Water created a single source of truth for asset histories, work orders, and technician activity, improving collaboration with the Bureau of Reclamation and simplifying reimbursement tracking. The system also digitized lockout/tagout procedures and expanded preventive and predictive maintenance, helping Northern Water streamline billing, improve safety, and support ongoing infrastructure operations.
