Retirement Concepts, a family-owned operator of 19 retirement communities in British Columbia serving nearly 3,000 residents, faced a major challenge: geographically dispersed sites and paper-based binders made capturing consistent, reliable equipment and maintenance history labor intensive and error-prone. To replace the time-consuming manual process and enable centralized decision-making, Retirement Concepts turned to Maintenance Care, a hosted web-based CMMS/SaaS solution.

Maintenance Care piloted at two sites (Maple Ridge and Summerland) to automate work requests, preventive maintenance scheduling and asset history capture, with on-site staff entering data directly into the system. The result was immediate: one facility logged over 700 requests in the first three months, PMs were executed on schedule, missing information dropped dramatically, and head office gained reliable repair-versus-replace data to drive cost savings and better capital planning using Maintenance Care.
