How Southeast Power Launched a Successful PM Program with MaintainX

Southeast Power faced “organized chaos” when Fleet Manager Brent Tomamichel joined in 2019: the company had no fleet preventive maintenance (PM) programs, SOPs, or operational systems and relied on fragmented communications (emails, voicemails, texts, two-way radio). To address this, Southeast Power adopted MaintainX’s cloud-based CMMS mobile app to standardize workflows and centralize communications.

MaintainX was used to catalog 1K+ assets, launch a PM program (more than 6K work orders to date), create SOPs, and deploy parts/inventory, vendor tracking, recurring work orders, and team messaging. The result: centralized communications, reduced downtime, more self-sufficient field technicians with mobile access to equipment history, and the ability to create predictive maintenance work orders—freeing Tomamichel to focus on O&M efficiency.
