A leading global oil and gas producer faced a challenge meeting new state NOx emission regulations for its remote Colorado facilities, which required continuous, reliable power in cold weather without grid access. Their existing natural gas infrastructure had high emissions, so they needed a cleaner, fuel-based power solution. They partnered with Mainspring Energy to address this.

Mainspring Energy implemented its Linear Generators, which run on the customer's own reservoir gas, to power the site's essential equipment. This solution provided a low-emission, resilient power system capable of cold weather operation, allowing the customer to meet its NOx and CO2 reduction goals. Mainspring also offered future flexibility to potentially use renewable hydrogen fuel.
