A Mainpac Case Study

Preview of the Ports America Case Study

Mainpac’s EAM saves money for port operator

Ports America, the largest container terminal operator in the United States, required an effective way to manage its vast and costly array of fixed and mobile assets, from large cranes to forklifts. Their challenge was to ensure safety and financial performance by moving from preventive to more predictive maintenance. They partnered with Mainpac to implement its Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software and Mobility EAM module.

Mainpac began by conducting site inspections to tailor the solution before integrating its EAM system with Ports America's existing Oracle and third-party systems. This implementation provided Ports America with enterprise-wide visibility into its assets, costs, and equipment availability. Mainpac's solution enabled a more cost-efficient and seamless operation, forming a platform for driving continuous improvement and moving towards a predictive maintenance model.
