Sketchfab, a 3D model sharing platform with more than 1.5 million users and 2M+ models, needed a more reliable, cost-effective way to scale transactional emails that drive its interactive user experience—notifications for comments, follows, likes—after outgrowing its own SMTP setup and wanting better control over user preferences and deliverability.
Sketchfab switched to Mailjet, updating only a few lines of code and using Mailjet’s APIs to sync a custom email preference center with segmented contact lists so unsubscribes and spam reports are handled automatically. The result: simpler sender reputation management, scalable triggered email delivery, and improved user engagement through tailored notification settings.
