Galeries Lafayette digitized all of their receipts thanks to Mailjet

Galeries Lafayette, the upmarket department store chain with over 62 locations including its Paris flagship on Boulevard Haussmann, launched a GO FOR GOOD initiative to offer paperless till receipts after purchases. The retailer faced a practical and environmental challenge: lengthy printed receipts from promotions and loyalty activity waste paper and slow checkouts, so they needed a reliable email solution to send transactional messages with PDF receipts at scale.

Galeries Lafayette selected Mailjet for its deliverability and transactional email capabilities, supported by a dedicated Customer Success Manager who provided rapid solutions and on-site training. The project was rolled out across all stores, sending about 50,000 email receipts per month with 97% delivery — reducing paper use, speeding up payments, and simplifying receipt management; in some stores paperless receipts now account for over 10% of transactions.
