A Mailgun Case Study
Tealeaf Academy is an online bootcamp for developers that centers learning around collaborative discussion boards. Their challenge was reducing friction so students would ask and answer questions faster—ideally by replying from email without signing into the platform—to boost engagement and speed up problem resolution.
They built an email-driven workflow with Mailgun: send_batch_messages to notify participants with a tokenized Reply-To (reply+{post_token}@messaging.gotealeaf.com), use Mailgun Routes to forward inbound replies to a webhook, parse stripped-text to create comments, and re-notify participants. The result: discussion activity tripled and questions are usually answered within an hour (often minutes), letting students move on to the next tasks much faster.
