How Dribbble Improved Connection & Scalable Sending With Mailgun

Dribbble connects designers with design-forward companies like Apple, Lyft, and Google by showcasing portfolios and sending weekly newsletters and transactional emails. When their previous email provider’s support and response times didn’t meet the needs of their growing sending volume, Dribbble set out to find an ESP that offered responsive guidance, scalability, and better pricing.

They migrated to Mailgun, leveraging Mailgun’s Deliverability Services and a dedicated Technical Account Manager to execute a phased migration (transactional traffic first) with zero downtime. Early results included a Google Postmaster reputation improvement from "medium" to "high" and weekly opens rising from 500,000 to 1.2 million; Dribbble plans to further improve deliverability using Mailgun’s Validations Service.
