Bakers Delight, a large bakery franchise that relies heavily on email for communications across its head office and regional sites, was hit by the Bugbear worm despite having server-level antivirus. MailGuard scanned and filtered inbound mail on its servers (requiring only a DNS redirect), protecting Bakers Delight’s users after a one-month trial that made them MailGuard’s 300th global customer and prompting plans to extend protection across all 600 bakeries. MailGuard’s solution significantly reduced spam, large uncontrolled attachments and network congestion, cut garbage from server logs, improved email policy reporting and storage efficiency, and restored confidence against viral outbreaks — freeing the IT team to focus on core business tasks.
