Magnolia enables Slovenia’s eGovernment portal to meet citizens’ demands

Slovenia’s Ministry of Public Administration, working with implementer SRC and Magnolia, rebuilt the national eGovernment portal e-uprava.gov.si to meet citizens’ expectations for services that are fast, simple, useful and convenient. The main challenges were preparing and presenting relevant content, providing a powerful search and transparent structure, integrating with back-end government systems (including central authentication and national databases), and making the site easy for government editors to manage so more citizens would complete transactions online.

Using Magnolia, the team delivered a user-focused portal with efficient search, clearly organized service descriptions, My eGovernment for authenticated users (personal data views, reminders, notifications and real-time application tracking), and streamlined electronic submission workflows. Administrator tools on the Magnolia platform simplified content management. The project was completed on time and on budget, produced a significantly more user-friendly site, and drove a measurable increase in e-business while improving transparency, efficiency and reducing costs.
