A Magnolia CMS Case Study
Groupe Mutuel, one of Switzerland’s largest personal and health insurers with 1.3 million insured and 23,000 corporate clients, faced a legacy CMS that limited content flexibility, slowed marketing updates across multiple sites, and made it hard to deliver a smooth mobile-friendly experience without burdening IT. The company needed a developer-friendly, secure platform that would let content authors publish frequently and support a modern, customer-facing redesign.
Working with partner Tinext, Groupe Mutuel implemented Magnolia as a centralized content hub, using connectors, workflows, Node.js frontend and light development modules to integrate tools like a premium calculator, chatbot and client platform (also available as a mobile app). The project met time and budget constraints, increased marketing output, drew positive customer feedback and drove significant traffic—over 500,000 visits in the first months after the relaunch—positioning the insurer to add further digital capabilities.
