Visana Services AG, one of Switzerland’s leading health and accident insurers, needed to replace an expensive, hard-to-use legacy CMS (Vignette) that hindered editor productivity, integrations and its digital ambitions. With an intranet receiving ~350k page views/month and an external site ~400k/month, the company sought a scalable, open platform with easy content creation, personalization and reliable performance to protect and grow its digital leadership.

Visana chose Magnolia (implemented with partner Namics) and launched a new corporate site within nine months, integrating SAP-driven employee data, legacy webapps, responsive multi-language sites, a MyVisana customer portal and an online premium calculator. The result was a more stable, extensible platform with faster development and deployments, lower technology costs, improved editor experience and increased traffic—supporting Visana’s goal to lead in digital healthcare services.
