Case Study: Air Europa boosts direct sales and speeds content publishing with Magnolia CMS

A Magnolia CMS Case Study

Preview of the Air Europa Case Study

How Air Europa uses Magnolia to boost direct sales

Air Europa, a Spanish airline operating across Europe and Latin America with a hub in Madrid, saw its website become the company’s primary sales channel but struggled with a proprietary CMS that could not handle a complex footprint of 29 sites (1–5 languages each). To sustain online growth they planned a relaunch around four technical pillars—new CMS, payment platform, architecture/infrastructure and booking engine—and needed a solution that supported multi-language, multi-market, multi-site management, hybrid headless/traditional CMS capabilities, content reuse and autonomy from development.

They selected Magnolia for its headless + CMS-framework flexibility, Live Copy market variants, open-source community support and predictable costs. Magnolia enabled native app content, new headless environments and non‑developer content customization. Early results included autonomous segmentation and personalization, faster publishing and landing-page creation, shorter campaign publication times, rapid issue resolution (hours instead of weeks), 40 reusable components and personalized content across 25 markets.
