Large Life Sciences Company Increases Hispanic Worker Representation by 9%

Large Life Sciences Company, a pioneer in researching and developing medicines, needed an actionable diversity, equity and inclusion (DE&I) plan for its contingent workforce to meet its 2025 commitments. Already committed to DE&I for full-time staff, the company partnered with Magnit—using Magnit’s DE&I consulting and its Vendor Management System (VMS)—to better understand contingent-worker demographics and expand inclusion across hiring and supplier relationships.

Magnit established a dedicated DE&I Task Force, worked bi-weekly with the company’s CDO, collected self-identified worker data in the Magnit VMS, and launched initiatives including a Racial Literacy Campaign, a Women’s Community Circle, and a Supplier Fair with 108 supplier commitments. As a result, Magnit helped drive measurable impact: Hispanic/Latinx representation rose 9%, Black/African American representation rose 5%, 17K+ campaign emails achieved a 33% open rate, and 100 people signed up for the Women’s Community Circle within 24 hours—advancing the company’s DE&I objectives and sense of belonging.
