A MAGIQ Software Case Study
Torres Shire Council, a small, remote Queensland local authority serving 3,700+ residents with an $18m annual budget, needed to replace its business systems with an easy-to-use solution and a support model that ensured effective knowledge transfer. The Council also required much better business reporting and analysis tools, and selected MAGIQ Software and its suites (MAGIQ Enterprise, MAGIQ Performance and MAGIQ Reporting & Analytics) to address these challenges.
MAGIQ Software implemented the fully integrated, web‑based MAGIQ Enterprise plus MAGIQ Performance and MAGIQ Reporting & Analytics and provided an on‑site application support model; the implementation went live in July 2014. The MAGIQ solution enabled a thorough transfer of knowledge to Council staff, delivered improved financial reporting and business intelligence (including personalised reporting views and automated alerts), and made Torres Shire Council the first Australian site to go live with MAGIQ Enterprise.
