A MAGIQ Software Case Study
North Burnett Regional Council, a Queensland local government serving about 10,300 residents with 220+ staff and $37.5m annual expenditure, faced the challenge of replacing roughly 30-year-old business systems with a contemporary, easy-to-use, fully integrated cloud platform while ensuring strong staff buy-in and usability. To meet this need they selected MAGIQ Software’s MAGIQ Platform for finance and council management systems.
MAGIQ Software implemented its cloud MAGIQ Platform—including the MAGIQ Performance Suite for financial and operational reporting and MAGIQ Documents for document management—bringing core finance, payroll, property, regulatory, customer service and billing functions into a single system. The deployment delivered a cleaner, more usable interface, browser and mobile access for field staff (enabling mobile timesheets and service requests), a central name/address register to eliminate duplicate data entry, and improved reporting (including Tropical Financial Statements), producing measurable efficiency gains across the Council’s 220+ staff and $37.5m operations.
