Kimba District Council Implements MAGIQ Cloud

Kimba District Council, a small South Australian local government serving about 1,000 residents with 20+ staff, faced a failing legacy system operated by LG Systems Inc. that was losing functionality and long‑term viability. To replace it, the council selected MAGIQ Software’s MAGIQ Cloud Platform, a native cloud SaaS finance and administration solution, to meet its financial and legislative requirements.

MAGIQ Software implemented the MAGIQ Cloud Platform, using its Data First migration to move a large volume of data over a single weekend and providing onsite support and training. The change moved paper‑based purchase orders and service requests online, eliminated re‑entry of data, improved remote access (even during power outages), streamlined processes and increased organisational effectiveness; the council and five other councils are forming a South Australian MAGIQ Software user group to share tools and best practice.
