The City of Gold Coast, a fast-growing local government with about 3,282 staff serving over 537,000 residents, needed to replace its complex, spreadsheet‑based long term financial planning process to improve efficiency, accuracy and reduce audit-identified risk. To address this, the City selected MAGIQ Software’s MAGIQ Financial Planning solution (part of the MAGIQ Performance suite).

MAGIQ Software implemented MAGIQ Financial Planning fully integrated with the City’s existing MAGIQ Budgeting application so budget data is auto-populated into the Long Term Plan model, eliminating manual re-entry and improving data integrity. The project is expected to cut the quarterly Long Term Plan “recycle” time from roughly one day to under an hour, increase transparency, reduce business risk through broader team training, and deliver significant time savings and planning efficiency.
