Stannah Italy Implements Magic Software Technology to Elevate Its Business

Stannah Italy, part of the world’s leading stairlift manufacturer with operations in over 60 countries and more than 18,000 installations in Italy, faced an aging, single COBOL system that forced repetitive manual tasks and left regional agents without timely, accurate order, customer and supply‑chain information. Orders were sent in parallel to the UK and Italy, requiring a more flexible, integrated solution to support warehouse, production and field operations.

Using Magic Software’s xpa application platform and xpi integration platform (implemented by LabSo Informatica), Stannah built client/server and RIA apps for order management and agent validation (including optical‑pen input and photos), plus integration flows to sync XML orders with the UK HQ and manage technicians’ appointments via Google Maps and Calendar. The project automated core processes, delivered immediate ROI, enabled comprehensive monitoring of business activities, and now runs more than 140 integration flows across sales, marketing, customer care and maintenance.
