Magic xpi Supercharges JD Edwards Orchestrator for Ajinomoto Foods North America

Ajinomoto Foods North America, a $1B frozen‑foods manufacturer with nine U.S. factories and over 3,000 employees, relied on Oracle JD Edwards as the hub for HR, supply chain, manufacturing and finance. Multiple point‑to‑point integrations — most critically a complex connection to Maintenance Connection — were built on flat files, causing high error rates, limited data validation, staff frustration across maintenance and finance, and no standardized integration approach to keep business processes in sync.

Ajinomoto implemented Magic xpi together with JD Edwards Orchestrator: Orchestrator exposes APIs for vendor and asset data, Magic xpi transforms data, runs validation and error‑handling routines, and processes bi‑directional updates between JDE and Maintenance Connection. The project delivered in 4–6 weeks with a single Magic resource, halved reprocessing time, enabled real‑time automated integrations, reduced error‑prone manual development, and improved visibility through built‑in monitoring — while providing the scalability and JDE expertise needed for future integrations.
