SCALTEL AG, a leading independent system integrator and managed service provider in Germany with its own SOC, faced a fragmented IT landscape across multiple business units and subsidiaries that created data silos, interrupted data flows and limited external interfaces to manufacturers, distributors and customers. Central monitoring and data-driven decision making were constrained, and the group needed a scalable, secure way to integrate core systems and enable real-time exchanges.

SCALTEL implemented the database- and platform-independent Magic xpi digitalization platform as its central IT core, using low-code, pre-configured connectors to integrate ERP (MS Navision), Omnitracker, a new PIM and external portals (including Cisco and HP) — in one case within two working days. The result is seamless, real-time access to 50,000 products from 20 manufacturers, automated workflows, ISO-compliant ticket integrations with customers, 24/7 access to HP Renew refurbished stock, reduced incidents and freed employee capacity, and a consolidated data foundation prepared for Big Data analytics and new digital services.
