Clinical Financial Services (CFS) is the only company focused exclusively on financial management for clinical trials, based in suburban Philadelphia. In 2006 CFS identified a market need for better payment and contract management for sponsors, biotech firms, and CROs: disparate systems and inconsistent processes made it hard to calculate grant dollars and efficiently administer site payments.

CFS implemented Magic Software’s iBOLT integration platform to build a controlled, fully integrated payment processing environment that automated invoice payments, forecasting and document workflows across its e-Payment application, SAP Business One, Salesforce.com and Documentum eRoom. Since deployment CFS has more than doubled in size, now pays sites quickly and accurately via EFT with detailed electronic remittances, follows CDISC standards, and gained a defensible competitive advantage.
