ASSA ABLOY Implements Industry 4.0 Solution Powered by Magic xpi Integration Platform

ASSA ABLOY AG, the Swiss global leader in locking systems, set out to digitize and automate KESO key production by replacing 20 manual-drilling stations with two digital machines. The challenge was to eliminate time-consuming manual job-board entry and reliably feed machining data to the new equipment from multiple back-office systems.

Using the Magic xpi Integration Platform, ASSA ABLOY consolidated data from its Infor ERP, a custom Production Information System (MS Dynamics CRM) and its Lock Management System into XML files that the digital machines read via barcode. The result is a fully automated, scalable Industry 4.0 manufacturing line that removed manual data entry, streamlined production and delivered a sustainable, extensible competitive advantage.
