Financial Services Software Manufacturer Chooses MENTIS to Protect Customers’ Sensitive Data

Primatics Financial, a financial services software manufacturer, needed a fast, reliable way to protect customers’ sensitive data and PII before consuming information from a wide range of financial institutions. The challenge was complicated by many application formats and the need for a solution that could work across Oracle, Mainframe, SQL Server, MySQL, CSV files, and Excel with little or no manual intervention. Mage Data, using MENTIS Sensitive Data Discovery™, iScramble™, and iMask™ for Databases, was selected to help meet these requirements.

Mage Data implemented discovery, classification, scrambling, and database-level masking to automatically identify sensitive data and protect it without disrupting application functionality. The solution gave Primatics full segregation of duties, reduced manual effort, and became part of its standard security routines and protocols. While no hard metrics were provided, Primatics reported the project as a complete success and said the MENTIS software more than met its requirements.
