South Cargo LLC, a freight forwarder based in Doral, FL with locations in Venezuela and Panama, needed a reliable, paperless way to document incoming warehouse cargo and capture proof-of-delivery signatures. They have used the Magaya Cargo System (and added Magaya POD in Venezuela) from Magaya Corporation since 2009 to manage warehousing and air/ocean shipments and to address photo capture and electronic signature needs for warehouse receipts.

Using Magaya Corporation’s software features—specifically the Attachment tab’s “Acquire” function in the Magaya Cargo System—South Cargo integrated a Microsoft LifeCam (TWAIN-compliant) to take photos directly into Warehouse Receipt transactions and a Topaz LCD 1x5" signature pad to capture signatures as PDFs. Photos and signatures are automatically saved to the transaction and emailed to customers, eliminating printed receipts, improving security and customer trust, and streamlining proof-of-receipt workflows.
