The Climate Corporation faced a challenge in turning the vast amount of data generated from farm equipment, weather stations, and satellite imagery into timely insights for growers. With data arriving in incompatible formats and typically delayed by overnight batch processing, farmers were making critical decisions without access to real-time information. Tandem was engaged to help build a solution that could deliver this data directly to farmers in the field.

Tandem implemented a robust IoT data pipeline to normalize multi-vendor equipment data and built an offline-first mobile application designed for use in rural environments. This solution provided real-time field-level insights, replacing the overnight reporting delay. As a result, the platform was successfully scaled to over 15,000 farmers actively using it to monitor more than 40 million acres of U.S. farmland.
