Sumitomo's Ascend SC Global Tubular Solutions division, which distributes tubular products for oil well applications, faced challenges with manual processes at its large Odessa, Texas facility. These included a lack of real-time inventory accountability and limited traceability for its high-value inventory. The company selected Made4net and implemented its SCExpert Warehouse Management System (WMS) to modernize its distribution operations.

The solution from Made4net provided real-time task execution, full transaction traceability, and integration with existing systems. This resulted in significant improvements, including zero missing items during recent inventories and streamlined operations across its sprawling yard. Following this success, Sumitomo is expanding the use of Made4net's WMS to ten additional facilities in the Middle East to support its global growth.
