Lowe's rolls out Spot On nationwide with Mode

Mode worked with Lowe's to address a challenge their DIY customers faced when selecting paint colors. Many customers lacked confidence, struggling to choose a color in-store that they would be happy with at home. To solve this, Lowe's tasked Mode with developing a new product to simplify the color testing process.

The solution developed by Mode was the Spot On paint kit, which included a comprehensive brand identity, disposable tools, a color guide, and unique paint-and-stick film sheets. Mode created the verbal and visual identity, designed the packaging, and helped engineer the box's interior. After a successful test, Spot On was rolled out nationwide by Mode and continues to sell well, distinguishing Lowe's color selection experience.
