Jamf delivers virtual labs for 200+ users per session with MacStadium

Jamf, a standard in Apple Enterprise Management, faced the challenge of converting its annual Jamf Nation User Conference (JNUC) to a virtual format. They needed to replicate their hands-on lab experience for over 17,000 attendees without the ability to physically provide hardware, a process that was previously incredibly labor-intensive. To solve this, Jamf partnered with vendor MacStadium and used its Orka Platform to create a solution.

MacStadium implemented a completely custom solution using its Orka Platform to orchestrate macOS in a cloud environment. This enabled Jamf to spin up, spin down, and wipe virtual machines for more than 200 users per session. The solution powered over 500 successful lab experiences and reduced the time for creating and refreshing instances to just minutes. Due to this success, Jamf plans to use the MacStadium solution for future digital trainings and events.
