Case Study: Kinetic Vision achieves high-volume production—scaling to tens of thousands with MacroFab

A MacroFab Case Study

Preview of the Kinetic Vision Case Study

Kinetic began working with MacroFab on prototypes and low-volume runs and has used the MacroFab manufacturing platform to scale up to thousands of production units

Kinetic Vision, maker of the REFLEX wearable that alerts workers to unsafe lifting, faced the challenge of moving from small prototype runs to high-volume, IP-protected production in North America while iterating designs rapidly. They selected MacroFab and its manufacturing platform (PCB assembly, box build, and project management services) to support fast design iterations, supply-chain visibility, and secure scaling without dealing with multiple overseas NPIs.

MacroFab implemented its digital manufacturing platform and account management to take Kinetic Vision from hundreds of prototype units to tens of thousands of production devices and charging stations, enabling factory portability and fewer production delays. The MacroFab platform’s version control, parts-placement review, and price-modeling tools helped the team streamline assembly, improve reliability, and grow orders roughly 10x compared with two years earlier.
