Case Study: Allahabad Medical Association of India strengthens blood supply security with M2SYS biometrics

A M2SYS Technology Case Study

Preview of the Allahabad Medical Association of India Case Study

Protecting and safeguarding blood supply in India using biometrics

Allahabad Medical Association of India (AMA) needed a reliable way to protect the integrity of its blood supply by identifying donors who had previously tested positive for infectious diseases and by preventing proxy donors from donating under someone else’s identity. M2SYS Technology addressed this challenge with VinDec biometric identification software using fingerprint recognition to create a more accurate donor identification system.

Using M2SYS Technology’s biometric solution, AMA registered thousands of donors and could permanently flag rejected or infected donor profiles, alerting staff across shifts and blocking repeat attempts or proxy donations. The deployment improved donor enrollment and blood supply integrity, reduced manual screening work, and after two years and thousands of biometric registries, the approach was successful enough to be expanded to Banaras Hindu University and Gorakhpur Blood Banks.
