The Nigerian Government worked with M2SYS Technology to address major weaknesses in voter registration, including corruption, duplicate registrations, proxy voting, and lack of a reliable way to verify voter identities. To support the country’s “one citizen, one vote” mandate, the government needed a biometric solution that could create a more accurate and credible voter registry.

M2SYS Technology provided 10,000 fingerprint scanners and biometric software to help register more than 20 million voters across hundreds of registration centers in Nigeria. The deployment helped the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) capture and verify millions of voter identities, improving election integrity and reducing fraud, bribery, and duplicate voting.
