Flogas, a Leicester-based supplier of liquefied petroleum gas, needed to better protect drivers and reduce collisions while transporting hazardous cargo. The fleet had limited visibility of near-misses and unsafe driving behaviors, hindering proactive coaching and contributing to repair costs, downtime and safety risk.

After implementing Lytx’s Driver Safety Program and video telematics, Flogas gained the insight to coach drivers and saw rapid improvements: roughly a 43% reduction in collisions/near-collisions, a 25% drop in unsafe events and a 48% decline in mobile handheld use, along with better seat-belt use, following distance and response times. The program also delivered immediate fuel-efficiency gains, improved driver retention and significant cost savings.
