Vestd, a UK-based share scheme and equity management platform, needed an affordable and user-friendly way to build its UX research function from scratch. With a small product team and no existing research tools, UX Researcher Tom Alcock looked for a cost-effective alternative to more expensive platforms like UserTesting that could support customer surveys, prototype testing, and broader product research.

Lyssna provided Vestd with a simple, flexible research platform for surveys, prototype tests, recordings, and participant recruitment. Vestd used Lyssna to gather feedback on its annual notification process, helping shape a new design that launched before the 2024 season and performed better than the previous year. The result was a 31% increase in customers using the feature year over year, along with longer task completion time that suggested users were reviewing information more carefully before submitting to HMRC.
