How the RSPCA UK engages their supporter base to improve UX

RSPCA UK’s digital experience team needed a better way to gather real user feedback and move beyond assumptions when making UX decisions. Working with **Lyssna**, they aimed to validate design choices, improve navigation, and ensure their digital products were accessible and effective for a wide supporter base.

Using **Lyssna** with Figma-integrated prototype testing, card sorting, navigation tests, conditional questions, and flexible recruitment, the team could collect fast, digestible insights from supporters and a research panel. The results included a sensitive image filter that increased page views on graphic content, a corrected intranet navigation structure after card sorting, and a “calm mode” accessibility feature that received positive feedback for helping neurodivergent users and reducing eye strain.
