Bower Collective, a Bath-based eco-conscious startup focused on reducing plastic waste through reusable home and personal care products, needed a better way to understand prospective customers who cared about sustainability but hadn’t yet switched to its products. The team, led by Head of Product Fiona Cliffe, wanted an affordable, all-in-one research tool that could help them ask unbiased questions, reach the right demographic, and uncover motivations and barriers to sustainable purchasing.
Using Lyssna, Bower Collective ran customer interviews, Figma prototype tests, card sorting, and other research with saved demographic targeting and a flexible credit system. The insights helped Lyssna support improvements to product efficacy messaging, shape a new laundry product, and refine onboarding with guidance like household-size usage recommendations and best-seller suggestions. The result was a more customer-centric culture and faster, more informed product and website decisions.
