Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust, the organization behind Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading, faced a staffing shortage after three integration team members left in March 2020. With 575 Rhapsody routes, around 500,000 messages per day, and a growing number of alerts to manage during the onset of COVID-19, the Trust needed a fast way to maintain critical interface operations. Lyniate’s Rhapsody platform and managed services were brought in to help bridge the gap.
Lyniate implemented Managed Services for 24/7 alert monitoring and resolution, with a Rhapsody expert helping support the Trust’s environment through secure access. This allowed Royal Berkshire’s IT team to focus on other priorities while Lyniate tuned alerts, handled incidents, and provided monthly reporting to improve configuration. The result was a more robust setup and an estimated 30% reduction in critical alerts, while avoiding the need to recruit and train additional staff.
