Pulse8, an Annapolis, Maryland-based healthcare analytics and technology company, needed a better way to bring in large volumes of data directly from provider EMR systems. The challenge was handling diverse healthcare data formats such as HL7 v2.x, FHIR, and especially complex C-CDA XML documents, while reducing the overhead of aggregating and normalizing data for risk adjustment and quality reporting. To address this, Pulse8 turned to Lyniate’s Corepoint Integration Engine.

With Lyniate, Pulse8 implemented a secure integration approach that could ingest C-CDAs and other EMR data, standardize it into usable data tables, and support database transactions, file exchange, and Direct Project workflows. This enabled Pulse8 to match member data, run analytics, and return coding and care insights to clients in the formats they needed. The case study highlights improved flexibility and efficiency, though it does not provide specific numerical ROI or time-savings metrics.
