Phoenix Children’s Hospital Achieves a New Level of Integration

Phoenix Children’s Hospital, one of Arizona’s largest pediatric hospitals, needed a more flexible and scalable way to support clinicians, support staff, and researchers with limited IT resources. Its legacy integration engine was rigid, hard to use, and couldn’t retain enough data or support the custom fields and functionality the hospital needed, creating delays and frustration for the IT team and care providers. Lyniate’s Rhapsody integration engine was selected to help address these integration and data-sharing challenges.

With Lyniate’s Rhapsody, Phoenix Children’s Hospital was able to modernize its interface environment, add business logic, and capture data from multiple sources without extra setup and maintenance fees. The platform enabled the hospital to track and make sense of 1 to 3 million messages per day, improve access to historical patient encounter data, and build long-awaited custom applications. As a result, IT shifted from being seen as a roadblock to a facilitator, while the hospital also became better prepared for future HL7 FHIR connectivity.
