NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde use Rhapsody to create a near-paperless hospital environment

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, the largest health board in the United Kingdom, needed a way to give clinicians across dozens of hospitals and clinics a single, unified view of patient information and improve access to electronic medical records. Working with Lyniate, the health board implemented Rhapsody On-Premise as part of its EHR and integration strategy to reduce reliance on paper and bring together data from multiple clinical repositories.

Lyniate’s Rhapsody helped feed clinic letters, forms, scanned notes, and other documents into the health board’s repositories, creating a richer patient data set and supporting a near-paperless hospital environment. The solution was already delivering paperlite operations at the new Ambulatory Care and Diagnostic Centers, with wider rollout planned across additional acute sites and future access for GPs, community workers, and partner organizations.
