How LVT is helping the Intermountain Regional Landfill

Intermountain Regional Landfill, a private landfill in Fairfield, Utah serving Utah, Davis, and Salt Lake Counties, needed better safety and security for its remote 330-acre site. The team also wanted to detect and control fires, monitor compactors, identify heat spots, and view live video from mobile devices. LVT provided a remote monitoring solution tailored to the landfill’s unique environment.

LVT deployed one D3 mobile trailer equipped with thermal cameras, 24/7 surveillance, alerts, and deterrence, along with desktop and mobile access to live feeds. The system helped Intermountain Regional Landfill know when hotspots reached 251°F, respond faster to potential fires, and gain peace of mind at a site processing about 100 truckloads per day and monitoring more than 1 billion pounds of garbage annually. The customer reported the system has been 100% reliable in a very tough environment.
