SITA, a multinational IT and telecommunications provider for the air transport industry, needed to modernize its popular mobile application and migrate from its legacy “Mobile Suite” to a more flexible, user-friendly, and cost-effective API platform. To support airlines and external developers worldwide, SITA worked with Luxoft to introduce an iTravel API solution built around existing SITA Reservation Web Services (SRWS).

Luxoft implemented the iTravel REST API using an Agile/Scrum approach, delivering end-to-end development and migration with features for booking, check-in, flight status, baggage tracing, airline information, and loyalty services. The solution was deployed for six airlines across more than 300 aircraft, improved scalability and time to market, and helped increase passenger satisfaction and sales through secure, streamlined access and easier integration for third-party developers.
