Global Energy Company, a Fortune 100 energy and utilities provider, needed to develop a Distributed Energy Resources Management System (DERMS) to monitor, control, forecast, schedule, and optimize distributed energy resources across the grid. As renewable generation, storage, and electric vehicle batteries became more widespread, the company faced growing complexity in balancing demand response and integrating DERs with existing grid operations.

Luxoft helped build the DERMS solution end to end, covering R&D, architecture, development, testing, and integration with market systems, third-party aggregators, regional markets, and IDMS. The implementation included seven system components plus grid visualization, DER forecasting, and a common user interface, cutting UI development costs by 25–30% and enabling faster market launch; Luxoft’s solution is already deployed in several regions and helping the customer stay ahead of competitors.
